NSW State Championships 2014-15 Results

by Peter Robinson

The first four races of the NSW State Championships were run over the weekend at Wangi on Lake Macquarie in sparkling spring conditions.

A small but ernest fleet enjoyed light southerlies for two races dominated by Mark Skelton with two wins, Tim Davies - seconds and Peter Robinson - thirds. The remaining places were contested to the finish with very little distance between finishes.

Sunday surpassed the first day with "perfect" 10-15kn easterlies. Sandra and Ross set a very true course (and great reaching legs) to the benefit of the seven OKs contesting this championship. Tim pounced on Mark's only mistake of the series to date with a first after a rare capsize on the run.

Close racing again with the finishing orders looking very similar on both days.

The final four races are scheduled for the weekend of 11-12 October at Drummoyne Sailing Club. Progress results: http://sailingresults.com.au/ScoreItV2/Public/Templates/Default/class-results.php?class_id=502#scratch
